Behind the Manuscript

BEHIND THE MANUSCRIPT is a show for authors who are in the process of bringing a story, idea, experience, or vision to life through writing.

This conversation focuses on the journey before the finished book. It gives authors space to talk about where their story began, what inspired them to start writing, what experiences influenced the idea, and what continues to push them forward.

The conversation can explore the first moment the author realized: “I need to write this.” It can explore the inspiration behind the story, the author's personal experiences, the questions they are trying to answer, the ideas they want to communicate, the challenges they encounter while writing, and the discoveries they make along the way.

BEHIND THE MANUSCRIPT is not about presenting a finished book as if the journey is already over. It is about the process of becoming an author and watching an idea develop into a manuscript.

Before there is a book, there is a story. And before there is a finished story, there is an author sitting down to write it.
